"For nearly two years I've gotten my haircut here. Then the weekend after thanksgiving I stopped by to get a haircut. The website said they open at 9 but when I arrived at 945 the doors were locked. I looked for a sign with their hours, but it was posted on one of the doors inside the store along with a note stating that they would be opening an hour later due to staffing issues. My first thought was that if they have staffing issues they must also have management issues, so I decided to avoid this place. The following day I went to the west side location but was told that they wouldn't have me in their system since I only visited the east side (oh the perks of a franchise!). I decided to swallow my pride and headed back to the east side - I figured it was the middle of the day and they should be open. When I arrived a gentleman greeted me. He spoke with another stylist who said she was busy cleaning and couldn't take me. So the guy brought me to a chair and I confirmed with him that they had notes on how I wanted my haircut. He then started asking me about my hair, did I really wear it that short and how fast does it grow. I let him know when the last time I was in for a haircut and said that it didn't grow that fast but it grew nonetheless. He proceeded to cut my hair, but when I felt the clippers on the top of my head I asked him to stop. As I looked into the mirror I could see that he was shaving my head! I told him that my notes should say that I liked it buzzed short around the sides and about 2 inches left on top. He asked me what I wanted him to do - saddened I said to just finish it up since there no way to bring it back. I looked in the mirror - I looked like a prisoner who just got booked into prison. I was sad, not furious, and I think he could tell that I was very disappointed. He said he would update my notes and let me go without paying. I guess there's a reason why people are willing to spend $40 on a haircut - because they know and trust their stylist. I guess I'll be paying $40 for a haircut, once it gets long enough that I'll need one (which could be about six months now). BTW - the lady who said she was busy cleaning was soon sitting down talking to a customer once the guy brought me to a chair. Staffing issues, management issues...it doesn't matter here anymore."

"Faded. I can't think of her name, an older women, I could tell she didn't have many experiences with my type of hair. She did a great job anyway and I think she'll do a better job the next time."

"Got a haircut on a whim while visiting Madison. The beautician didn't really do what I asked her to do with my hair but it all worked out cause I liked what she did with it. Would probably go back."

"Took way too much off even though I specifically said "just a trim" and that I've never complained about 'not enough' being taken off. I usually come every 3-4 weeks for a 'trim'.....no need to come back for 2 months now. Damage is done. Darn."

"Great location, albeit awkward to find. GPS may tell you go to some weird direction. Better if punching in Hy-Vee and looking for it closer to the main road"

"Liked the haircut and personal attention. The website and "sign-in" feature didn't work at all and I reached voicemail when I called at 2pm on a Sunday. But that didn't detract from the overall experience."
